Check Emblems before Install
Purchased and install the emblems when I received them. The emblem backing material that adheres and bonds the emblem to the vehicle and to the emblem itself, which is like a foam sticky material after you remove the protective covering and apply the emblem to the vehicle surface. All of may emblem applications went on easy and looked great. After approximately one week, one emblem fell off, unfound, but the emblem backing is still attached to the vehicle, but again the chrome emblem face is gone. I think the glue or product that hold the backing and the emblem together must not be strong enough to get a good bond. If purchasing this product, check the bond between emblem and bonding product before installing, otherwise another replacement emblem purchase is needed. V - Emblems?
I like the fact that these are made outta metal, solid feel to them, however I don't like how the backs are open in several spots, the supplied two-way tape / adhesive that comes with them only fits to the very narrow edges & doesn't have a great "secure" fit. I filled the hollow areas on the backsides with an epoxy mix & trimmed them down flat to get the two-way tape to adhere to the whole surface (don't want the carwash to remove them for me).
