Not that too many race cars are sitting in Death Valley, but it's good to know that you have the oomph to make it happen. The downsized housing clears most headers and oil pans, but just in case, we made the billet mount so it can be clocked in different positions to help in tight applications.

Has been a really reliable starter for over a decade. Replaced it due to age with an identical one, I have a SBC 396 and cranks great. My only complaint is it has a high pitch screech flywheel noise. It s better for me as far as noise than the Powermaster. I just have bad luck pry. The Dynaforce never let me down and was always quiet but was old and Powermaster ultra sounded terrible. Dynaforce was better but after 8 hrs+ messing around and $800+ later I am dealing with the noise

MSD is the BEST
Although cheaper starters can be found, quality costs money. This starter easily cranks my 10:1 383 cui motor. I had a cheaper starter motor that was worn-out and replaced it with this MSD starter. Fit well and came with everything necessary to install in 10 minutes.
