Since both the TV and Blue-Ray player are made by the same company the interface seemlessly together. Often I forget which controller that I'm using, the TV controller or the Blue-Ray controller. Out of the box they were easy to setup. The only catch was that there was some difficulty in getting the TV to sync with the TV. It wouldn't do it automatically and if you were too far away it would get confused. Once that issue was cleared up it worked perfectly. The motion sensing remote is a great feature. I've played with the TV calibration settings and the picture only gets better the more that I tweak them. I have the color levels set perfectly (Black Tone set to very high is a must). I'm having some difficult in getting the white levels set perfectly, but I'm sure that I'll get them right with time.Read full review

This TV is fantastic. Very responsive, the remote is cool with some extra nifty features I didn't even know about, the 3D is beautiful, and the upscaling of 1080p content is excellent. I would buy this TV again and again. I haven't had the opportunity to test out true 4K content or HDR content, but I'm sure they're great. The bezel is actual metal, and it makes it look even more premium. The only thing that could be improved upon are the black levels. Of course it's nowhere near OLED levels, but the blacks just don't get very black. It's not distracting or anything, but I'm picky. Also, I didn't really see this anywhere in reviews, but the TV itself is actually good for gaming so far. I haven't run into anything odd whilst gaming on my Xbox One or PS4. Great buy!!!

Great TV. The picture is amazing and the 3D is definately worth it...especially for family movie night. My last TV was 10 years old so the JS8500 was quit a leap forward. I spent months researching TV's and this one was hands down number one consistently. I had originally wanted passive 3D but the active 3D is unbelievable and has worked flawlessly and so has the 4k. Very satisfied!

1. UI is slow sometimes and user experience could be better, some things could be done in more logical way. 2. Visible backlight on black screen (from some corners) 3. TV stand is ugly. There are many small things I'm not sure related to apps or TV itself. For example when I watch HBO GO TV shows, at some point screen saver gets active every N minutes and I have to move cursor to disable it.
