After using a variety of Android Wear watches to get my feet wet with smartwatches, I decided to give a Pebble a shot as I might want to switch to the Apple ecosystem soon and thought the ability of the Pebble to work seamlessly on both Android and Apple's set up's was a good bet. I'm glad that I went for the latest from them instead of their older, less expandable original units. The color e-paper screen, while dull and a bit washed out compared to the oled/lcd screens I used on Android Wear watches, was MUCH easier to use outdoors or in good lighting conditions. It has a backlight for less well lit indoor use that works fine, especially after the latest update to it's firmware allows you to set the brightness to what works for you, nice. The software, especially when used with my Note 4 phone, is outstanding. There are a huge number of watch faces to choose from in color, and thousands more in black and white as well. All look good on the Time's screen, but I found the darker themed ones worked better overall due to increased contrast. Apps are aplenty here as well, with most focusing on simple notifications but there are many sponsored apps as well, like a great ESPN app and even Foursquare. It's more streamlined, and therefore easier to use, then the sometimes bloated Android Wear experience. I found the lack of a touchscreen not even a remote issue as the four buttons are firm, easy to get used to, and work great. I feel the experience will only get better with use as well. Pebble did good here, with a solid feeling design, easy band swapping, and simply tremendous battery life (I average 5+ days myself with almost constant use). The only issue is that the price is a bit high for what you get here, a price around $150.00US would be much better, and I'm already seeing the price drop on them at retailers, and expect it to become a better value soon enough. I just hope it's sooner rather than later, it's a really great watch that deserves to be on more wrists, and soon. A best buy for sure in it's class. Read full review

Strongly disappointed excepted with the autonomy and the lightness of the watch. But the operation of the watch and especially the possibility of having applications on it are very complicated. Especially since the program "Pebble" from which the applications are obtained does not download properly on all smartphones and this without any logical reason. The worst is the brightness of the screen very disappointing compared to the one shown on You Tube or any other demo video of the Watch.

I am very pleased with this Pebble Time watch. It is a great watch with 4-5 days of battery life. It tells time, is a stopwatch, music controller, activity tracker, notification receiver, Kodi remote control, weather station, sleep tracker, etc. I especially like the silent, vibrating alarms. For it's best features, it tells time all the time and the battery lasts several days. I also like the notifications, which keep me from having to pull my phone out of my pocket, and not needing to even carry my phone around the house. Notifications can be customized per app. I have this synchronized with a Moto G first edition for Verizon.

The Pebble Time with 'steel' case is not as fashionable a Pebble Time Steel. It still looks a bit like a toy. I've decided to embrace that and added a colorful 'skin'. The addition of color (vs Pebble Classic) is, IMHO, not enough to justify preferring the Time over the Classic, but the extended battery (7~10 days), IS worth it, and while not flashy or sexy, it's looks much less 'cheap' then the plastic Classic Pebble. I've had other smartwatches that do a LOT more, but I've learned that what I really NEED, is fulfilled by the Pebble (all/any of them). It reminds me of my old Timex DataLink watch. Requires very little attention and has several very useful functions.

This watch looked brand new and I can't say enough good things. I wasn't sure if I wanted a smart watch or a fitness tracker and this is the perfect balance at a bargain. The sleep and step monitors help me stay more balanced. I love the voice to text option for quick messages to my spouse and coworkers, plus I can read and delete emails or texts. The timeline shows me the weather and appointments coming up. The silicon strap is very comfortable and safe for my baby to teethe on. So many other useful features it makes a Fitbit or Apple watch seem ridiculously overpriced.
