The Robin 4-PC set of solid wood folding chairs in natural finish has a traditional style with the contoured back and slatted seat for comfortable seating. Easily folds away for storage. Seat width is 15.1", seat back 17.6"W x 14.9"H. Folded to 17.6"W x 2.8"D x 35.1"H.
These chairs are made well, finished well, and look good. Haveng once had a set like these from Cost-Plushalf a century ago (or were they USA-made?) I remember them as the standard of durability and good looks These run them a very close second-place. But second is not quite First. However, they are the best of the current availability, and if bought at discount (mine were not - I needed them) then they could be considered Good Value and get a 5-rating.
I love these chairs. They look fantastic with the table they sit at. My only concern is the weight limit, I didn't note oNE when purchasing them. But, I can't use them if any larger people are visiting. The are not secure when very big people sit in them.
At approx $20 per chair free shipping,these chairs were a real steal. Photos make the wood look unfinished and very light colored but actual product has a bit more of a yellow tone wood color similar to clear coated pine and looks nicer than the photos. Chairs are solid sturdy wood although not sure what kind, quite possibly a wood local to the area of manufacture in Thailand. Chairs are well balanced, open and close well, and feel sturdy and comfortable. Rubber bumpers on bottom of feet protect flooring. They are low profile when folded and each came with a plastic cover which I will use in storage to keep dust off. These match nicely with my wood dining room table and will be needed when I have extra guests over. I highly recommend these. The main hassle was that each chair had 3 stickers on them including one that was 12 inches long. They are under the seat but still look ugly when the chair is folded. To get those off, I had to use a hair dryer and then use Goo Gone to get the residual sticky, which was quite a hassle. Would have been nice if those stickers were something I could peel off without a huge production.Read full review
I had one of these little chairs for twenty years...stood on it many times(don't do this at home)! Solidly built,and the curved seat and back make these surprisingly comfortable,despite their diminutive size.I liked that one so much,I ordered a four set.
