last Casio telememo calc in 2020 catalog
I've worn a Casio telememo then calculator-databank since the it was invented, early 1980s, non stop. I bought this as distant travel banger watch as my current databanks are now collectors items and impossible to replace.

Casio engineering ergonomics, if you've used one before, it has a design feel for all what buttons do and screen layout
bigger LCD and characters, easier to see for old eyes despite being just LCD
side lighting lights up entire LCD despite coming only from the lower left of screen
easy to program without reading manual, but better read manual to know all capabilities
keyboard is best design yet, keys are angular and raised making a sharp peak, easier to press than prior designs
'hacker' free, old tech, no internet or connection to outside world!

the for 'Ex' function makes currency conversion convenient or use for quick tip calculation
auto backlit on function
weekday auto set once correct time, and date
accurate to under 0.5 sec/day, tested 1 week
side keys are bigger and easier to operate than old designs
Cons
only 25 pages, compared to the 300 limit in old models
memory clears when battery is changed
only 5 alarms that can't be labeled, I had 30+ on my other, you can make as many as memory allows
backlight is one sided, old design ELD lights up the LCD evenly, and very brightly
no countdown timer
alphanumerics are scrolled through, on the old design there were 3 letters per key, takes longer to input
no search function for memos
the beep function for time is not as clearly different than older designs [ used for confirming the time screen is on only by sound]
auto backlight is too sensitive for most functions, best only for driving in the evenings if you don't have a dash clock
Note, letter and memo will faster scroll if held down for 2 sec, so you don't have to press one key at a time
