great easy to use sturdy light weight compact tripod. and gorgeous!
I completely love the tripod. The only small issue I have is with unlocking and raising the center pole. It was so stiff I didn't realize I had it unscrewed and unlocked. I had to really pull hard to raise it. I wonder if I can use some sort of silicone lubricant to make it easier. Other than that I love how quickly I can adjust the legs and how they lock in place with a simple small turn. Very stable and with the sand bag option with the hook at the bottom of the center pole. Also all the height I could ever want and very compact and slick when collapsed. I bought it because I don't want to ever have to buy another tripod. If I do, it will be another Mountaineer that might have to be lighter for hiking.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very stable and easy to use
It is high quality as all the Gitzo products. The GT2542 is light weight but solid and very stable in use. It is setup with a Robus RTH-1050 Ball Head. That gives a concrete foundation to my Nikon Z6III with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
