Upon unboxing, its heavy for its size and built like a Sherman Tank. Stir bar operation takes getting used to. Heat plate is Championship strength; a little goes a long way! Increased lab efficiency on first use!

Excellent laminator. Cannot be beat at the price I paid for it!
Beware mine came damaged due to poor packing. I chose to repair it rather than send it back. The laminator itself works perfectly though. I needed a cold laminator for making stickers, the heat and the adhesive on stickers do not go well together. Though it is twice the size that I need for the price it's a deal. It has applied clear lamination to my stickers perfectly from the first sheet until now. It is heavy and I expect it will outlive me easily.

ONE OF THE BEST
SUPERB QUALITY AND PRICED BELOW MOST OF THE POOR QUALITY BRANDS. THE LARGE HOT PLATE AREA IS BIGGER THAN MOST OTHER UNITS ON THE MARKET AND THE TEMPERATUR FOR THE HOT PLATE GOES HIGHER THAN ANY OF THE OTHER HOT PLATES THAT I COULD FIND. THE MOUNTED ROD AT THE BACK OF THE UNIT WHICH ALLOWS ONE TO SUPPORT PH METER THERMOMETERS ETC. IS AN ADDED BONUS, ALTHOUGH THIS SEEMS TO RECENTLY HAVE BECOME MORE COMMON ON OTHER BRANDS AS WELL. THIS IS NOT A DIGITAL UNIT BUT THE TEMPERATURE AND SPEED CONTROLS ARE SOLID AND SMOOTH IN THEIR OPERATION. I HAVE USED STIRRING HOT PLATES FOR YEARS AND THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST.

Great stirrer for price
Way cheaper than similar name brand mag stirrers/hot plates, but performs pretty much equally well. The 500w model has plenty of heating capacity to heat a 1000ml beaker of H20 to boiling quickly. One thing I did notice however, is it's kind of finicky on the low temp end of the dial, like all or nothing when it came to the heating element. Still, it is manageable. Magnetic stirrer works as expected. All in all, it's the most powerfully heating hotplate/stirrer under $100 I have ever seen. Defiantly recommend for amateur chemists or even schools and labs on a tight budget

Inexpensive sturdy laminator works great.
This is a sturdy piece of equipment! It works well for my purpose. The bearings are not the best and had very little grease. I took the time to grease them, but considering its a low speed hand-cranked machine, I'm sure they would last a long time anyway.

Great Laminator!
It took a little while to become used to the laminator, but after laminating a few photos, it has become fairly easy to use. I have successfully laminated a photo collage that is more than 8 feet in length. Having a second person to help with larger projects will make things easier. The results are VERY good.
