I removed the case after several days and found the hard layer was stuck to the soft one. I am embarrassed. I pulled and twisted and was convinced.
I have had an incipio case for about 4 years. The description sounded the same: soft inside with hard protective outside. This is a single layer with rigid back. I looked for the second layer but it doesn’t exist. It is probably worth the low cost but not as described.
