Purchased a D6616 T mobile. Phone it's self is amazing. Purchased as a demo phone, the price made it even better. Camera takes great photos and battery lasts all day. Stereo speaker sound is better than iPhone, screen is crystal clear. THE DOWNSIDE, it is a t mobile designated phone which T-Mobile abandoned and no longer is supporting with updates, so you are stuck at Android 🍭 even though Sony is updating the other z3s to marshmallow and even nougat. STILL one of the best phones I've ever owned.

I buy Sony Xperia phones because they are waterproof which makes them ideal for water parks with my daughter. This one has a good body but the charger door and the memory card/Sim card doors are so worn out that they will not seal to keep the phone waterproof for up to a half hour as deep as 6ft.

Great as a pocket computer --- Terrible as a phone. The good: It's sleek, fast, and has an incredible camera. The bad: If you want to use it as a phone, forget about it. The microphone will not work during a speakerphone conversation. Also, the ear speaker during a normal phone call is so low that its hard to hear, even in a quiet environment. After buying and disappointedly returning two of these, I did some digging. I found out that this particular model (D6616) is no longer supported by both T-Mobile and Sony. Really. The Android version 5.0.2 Lollipop is all you'll ever get, folks. Which would normally be perfectly fine, except in this phones case, the 5.1.1 update is needed to fix the software issues with the phone. But if you're they type who never answers the phone or makes call, and only responds to texts, social media, etc. Buy this phone! If you like have a working phone. Don't buy this phone! Note: All the other models of the Z3's except this D6616 are getting updates. Those are the unlocked ones, which may have compatibility issues with T-Mobile. Good Luck! Read full review
