Big quality in a small package.
Using the NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS305) to connect to more devices on the home network because the router did not have enough ports and was tiresome to always be swapping LAN cables between devices. Have seen no drop in speed or extra lag time. All devices communicate with each other as expected. The switch is compact so takes up a very small footprint. No fan means no noise and have not noticed the switch getting overheated. The power cord from the power adaptor is nice and long so it can reach a long distance or be folded for shorter distances. The price was very good, so this is high quality for a low price.

Simple and reliable
I'm just running a simple home network, so I don't need any bells or whistles or extra administrative tools. Five ethernet ports, one power line; that's it. From an aesthetic standpoint, I like the all-metal case.
