need to make the rear view mirror brighter it's too dark. You can't see behind.
I like this DVR rear view dual dash cam but the problem is the rear view mirror is so dark. I had two dash cam with the same brand for my other cars but I can see better at daytime or night time. This one is too dark. I need to remove my sunglasses in order to see at daytime.
If youre looking for something cheap under $70 then here it is. Its Its nicely packaged and come with everything in the discription. Installation is a process so do your own research before you buy ome of these, other than that, its striaght foward. Now heres the down part of buyimg things so cheap, the quality isnt all there. With day lighting conditions, the camera can get plates within 3 ft. - 5ft ahead of you. Big road signs are fine but you can barley read plates further than that. Night time is pretty bad, with lots of glare. You wont be able to read anything. As far as the rear camera goes, you wont be able to see anything during the night, only in the day. Forget about using it as a backup camera too, its just there for recording rear view. Does have buttons you can utilize and its clicky. Not the most premium feel to the dashcam either. Lastly, its pretty long, which your visor will get in the way of the mirror. Thats about it as far as pros and cons go. You get what you paid for. I wouldnt buy it again because of the quality but instead spead that extra $50 for something of better quality. Read full review
The only button that works is the power button. I can't navigate additional options. I can't reset the presets nor can I set the correct date and time. It's stuck in this continuous loop where it records 30 seconds of footage and then resets. It's more than likely recording over the previous file in short, eating it's own tail. The users manual is particularly vague and mentions modes to be in without mentioning the procedure to get into it.
WHEN I GOT THIS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE JUNE BUT I WAS SURPRISED ALL THOUGH IT LOOK CHEAP IT DOES WORK EASY TO INSTALL ON THE MIRROR I LIKE IT A LOT SO FAR THE THE PICTURE RECORDING WAS CLEAR AND WHEN I TOOK THE SD CARD OUT AT PUT IT IN THE COMPUTER I WAS SHOCKED ON THE VIDEO VERY CLEAR. IT TOOK A WHILE TO FIGURE IT OUT DO TO THE CHINESE INSTRUCTIONS IT PLAYS BACK RIGHT ON THE MIRROR IN THE 4.3 SCREEN NIGHT TIME ITS NOT THAT GREAT BUT I DO SEE THE OTHER CARS AND SOME LICENSE PLATES HERE IN NY MOST ROADS HAVE LIGHTS SO IT'S OK COULD BE BETTER. I HAVE NOT INSTALLED THE REAR CAMERA YET JUST TESTED IT SEEMS TO BE OK. FOR MY OLD CAR THIS GADGET IS JUST FINE WITH ME I PARK IN THE STREET AND DONT WANT A EXPENSIVE UNIT.
Backup camera not long enough for a truck or large Suv.
Forget about getting a 2.5mm extention cable for the backup camera...it can't power it....12 feet sounds like it will work for a truck or Suv but after hiding all cables it will not reach. Camera is confusing but works fine.
