this tripod has more length than I should ever need yet also manages to get surprisingly low with the short vertical post (included) it is a fantastic value and I can't see it breaking. It is very well built. The only somewhat disappointing thing I have found so far is that the vertical post has a bit of side to side play with how it attaches to the legs. That wouldnt matter if I had a proper tripod head (thats my next purchase) but it is still something to note. To be fair I am not using this for photography, it holds my spotting scope for ELR target shooting. If youre looking for a compact tripod for travel or light duty occasional use you're looking at the wrong product. This is a big, heavy duty, stout SOB that is not the easiest to pack around all day but it has its place. If youre having to use it on highly uneven ground this is one of the use cases where this product will shine. Read full review

Nice big sturdy tripod that hold the weight of the big zoom lenses. No sway, firm for capturing that shot. Tall as well. Can adjust to any height for comfortable use. Excellent for the price.

This is a huge tripod and a very good value for the size and durability. On the other hand it is quite heavy but that does help the stability.

Excellent strong tripod! It goes very tall! However, it does go down to a compact size or as small as possible and with the carrying case, easier to transport. The purchase of this tripod was an opportunity to move into something more sturdy and it did not disappoint. It certainly goes taller than any other tripod I owned before and that is a good thing, more flexibility.
