I tried a half dozen other ergonomic keyboards under $100 and this one is the best I found. I tried another Microsoft Sculpt keyboard (with the gap in the middle) that felt good, but the screenlock key was right next to the backspace key so I was continually locking myself out, requiring me to login again. This one feels almost as good and I don't lock myself out any more.

Very disappointed in Microsoft on this one. Although the touch is decent on the keys, the "lifts" are oddly on the front of the keyboard instead of the back, which I find unhelpful and useless. My previous Microsoft keyboard, which apparently is completely unavailable anymore, was bigger than this one and had the lift tabs on the back so the keyboard would slant toward me, not away from me. I suppose if the latter was all you were used to, it would be okay, but it's not ok for me. This was a previously used keyboard, and other than the A,S,D,E, and C keys being worn off, it functions ok for now, but I would never buy another one of this model.

I really love the ergonomic style. However, I'm not sure if it's my particular set or all of them in this style, but it stops working every now and then. The mouse will suddenly be frozen on the screen, or the keyboard will randomly switch screens/type the same things over and over, and I end up needing to unplug the bluetooth USB and plug it back in to "reset" the devices.
