Works great for reaching way up high & cutting tree branches. I used it way up high in my tall tree that I climbed. The Ryobi worked like a champ and made short work of all the smaller top branches. It extends so that it is about 9 feet from handle to blade. It is remarkably powerful for a lightweight chainsaw. Well, it seems lightweight to me anyways. I used the blade on the bottom and the top, depending upon the position of the branches. The pole can be positioned so that the handle is at various angles to the blade for best results. The trigger lock is not difficult to unlock even in odd positions.

Unit did not have a switch option that would keep the saw moving( my hedge trimmer has this option), but that maybe a safety feature and that's OK. Works fine

Not really able to extend as much as is needed. Very light. On a ladder, this is very nice. Bar is shorter than I would desire, but does an adaquate job.

Works very well on tree limbs to a few inches in diameter, working at height on ladders. Hard to cut larger limbs growing upward at angles because of greater thickness of the cut. A fabulous tool for your collection. Get one - the one with AC power overcomes running down batteries. A little trouble with cords, but you won’t run out of power.
