Just installed the 14 inch band saw tires. I used some powerf...ul spring clamps to hold the tire in place to the point that I had to do some grunt work, and slowly move the tire in place using a Phillips screw driver. The tool that came with the tires was pretty much useless. I did heat up the tires in hot water, but while it helped a little, it did not make them much more pliable/elastic than they already were. The process reminded me of putting a tire on a vehicle rim, as the tire iron was replaced with my Phillips screw driver to pry the tire in place while I used the other hand to stretch the material as much as possible. If you use this method, you do need to be careful not to mar/scratch the aluminum wheel, but the chrome screw driver helps keeping this to a minimum, or not at all. The band took longer than normal to center, as this was new material on both wheels, but once done, it ran true. These are good tires, but you will have to do some grunt work to get them installed.

I used these to replace the original tires on my C...raftsman bandsaw. I let them soak in hot water for about 15 minutes and they slipped right on with a clamp as my helper. Saw is back up and running like new.

The tires went on with a little/ a lot of muscle and 4 clamps. I... did not preheat them prior to starting because I watch a youtube video of Snodgrass installing new tires and he didn't preheat so I just followed his lead. I would do it the same way again, it was not that bad. The bandsaw blades track great with these tires and with a good blade you cut paper thin veneer.
