Finally a reef safe marine ich treatment that works. I bought 4 bottles and treated at max dose of 3 scoops per 50 gallons, twice per day for 24 days. Raised the temperature to 82-84 degrees. Ich pretty much covered all the tangs. My tank has 25 tangs (including 1 gem, 1 blue powder, 1 brown powder, 3 achilles, 1 sail fin, 2 purple, 3 yellow, 5 blue hippo, 1 scopas, 3 sohal, 2 blonde naso, 1 naso, and 1 lieutenant tang), 19 clowns, 1 cleaner wrasse, and 1 cleaner goby. All 46 fish survived and all corals and inverts doing fine. I only lost a giant clam and two SPS but it's worth it to save all my fish.. You must go max dose and run to whole 20 days. The ich battled the Medic all the way to the last day so I added 4 extra days to make sure. Great product!!!

I had a hippo tang with lots of white spots. I treated him/her with Metroplex and Focus added to the daily food, plus started treating tank with Polyp Lab Medic (daily 2 scoops in the morning/evening for a 90gal tank as suggested), for a period of 10 days. Honestly, when I started, I gave up this tang, I said "oh, another one will be gone soon". I was very diligent with the treatments and after ONE week, the ick was completely gone. This hippo was spotless, no bumps, no nothing. The worst part was, I had to leave town and my friend took care of my tank, so I was unable to see myself the progress. Getting home after 4 days the first thing that came to me was "get the f... out of here, I can't believe it!". Some of my corals reacted with some sort of retraction, my shrimps seemed to be a bit more sluggish, but everything else was okay. I am not sure what cured my beautiful hippo tang, but I would do this treatment again. I have no QT and I don't like to shock my sick fish with Cupramine. Plus, the stress a fish has to go through when dumping him/her into a QT tank. I'm sure some would disagree with me, but I really believe the proper food, Metroplex and Focus with Medic took care of my tank. I can only vote for this product, again and again. Many weeks later, I have a clean looking "Dory" and he/she's happy, swimming around without any white spots. Is it worth to try this route? It's up to you. But, do NOT stress your sick fish, he/she has enough to deal with already. Medic is a good stuff, won't hurt anything. That much I can promise.Read full review

appeared to work at first, but started to loose fish anyways, fish would look good one day and then bad the next. i know how the ich cycle works. but continued to loose more fish. after the 12th day and 2 water changes later all the fish were dead.. i was not able to retrieve all the dead fish out of the reef tank, too many hiding spots. maybe i did something wrong, not sure.. the directions were easy and i didn`t miss a dose. i guess doing something is better then nothing. it`s the results that matters but for me it was an unfortunate one..... bill

I had an issue with a new Majestic Angel in a 260 gallon FOWLER tank. It didn't spread to the rest of the fish, but she had it pretty bad. I tried 'natural' remedies first, but it simply wasn't working well. I ordered this and starting dosing at the 'normal' rate. Although she started improving, it was slow so I ramped up to the 'extreme' level. It took the entire bottle to finally rid her of the ich and I'm dosing a second bottle just to be safe so that they don't regenerate in the sand. This is not the cheapest solution, but given the cost of my livestock, it was more than worth it if it worked -- which it did. From other reviews, I found that many had to do the more extreme dosing and continue it for 20 days rather than 10, but it may depend on your situation, size of tank, etc.
