Yeah, it's another corny space robots movie, but when it comes to tech + explosions, it's hard to beat Michael Bay. My kids got me into this series (did I just say that out loud?). It's a family thing. I like this newest installment better than the last one because Transformers 3 had a bit too much gratuitous T&A for my tweenagers to watch, whereas this one strikes a nice balance between the popular teenage girl and hot teenage boy without flashing an inappropriate amount of skin. Love the inclusion of an older mechanic-engineer-hero Mark Wahlberg, giving this movie someone all ages can relate to. If you want depth of character, a gripping plot, and award-winning acting, this movie is NOT for you! But if you want a few hours of fun with your family, get the DVD and let your kids watch it a hundred zillion times. A Geologist finds 2 dinosaurs covered in a strange metal. This metal is really seed bombs that was thrown on earth 65 million years ago by the Creators, which cyberform anything it touched, wiping out most life on earth. It's been 5 years after the war in Chicago and the government is hunting down the last of the decepticons. Even though the autobots have sanctuary, Lockdown has been hunting and killing them. Cade Yeagar buys a truck so he can pay for his daughter's education but discovers it's an injured Optimus Prime and repairs him. Optimus gets the last remaining autobots to join him. Cade shows the autobots a film of Leadfoot being murdered and Rachette ambushed. And the one doing the killing is Lockdown, who is working for KSI. Cade is a target by the government and decides in order to save his family he must join the autobots and uncover the sinister plot. Optimus would never kill a human being but vows to kill the one behind the killing of the autobots. The autobots roll out, determined to find and destroy the ones behind the killing of their comrades. This movie is FANTASTIC! The graphics, the fight scenes - everything is great. It's an action packed, thrill ride that never stops. The new autobots are wonderful; Hound, Crosshairs, Drift. And Bumble Bee is ramped up and tricked out to do battle with the enemy. This movie is funny, the autobots are great, and the action sequences are larger than life. The kids and grown up really enjoyed this one. Aren't we all kids at heart? YES!
