This sequel to 2012's top shooter game once again tests your ability to survive. With "Far Cry 4 - Limited Edition," scout out enemy territory in Kyrat, pick the bad guys off from a distance, or charge in on the back of an elephant. The world is your deadly playground in this smash-hit Ubisoft game for the PlayStation 4. "Far Cry 4" was released by Ubisoft for the PS4 in 2014. This first-person, shooter-adventure game in an open world has many elements that fans of the previous PlayStation and Xbox 360 games will already know. There are still role-playing game elements in the gameplay, such as a level up system and a branching path story line. Action, stealth, and melee are also different combat methods. Players can still craft weapons, upgrade their abilities, and gain good karma depending on their behavior. The massively diverse PS4 game takes you to the fictional country of Kyrat, located deep in the Himalayas of the open world. You play as Ajay Ghale, who traveled to Kyrat for personal reasons. The country is torn apart by a civil war between its tyrant king, Pagan Min, and a group of rebels. Battle enemy soldiers while you complete missions, fight off dangerous wildlife, and progress deeper into the story. Ajay can use a variety of weapons. Many of them are standard weaponry, such as shotguns, sniper rifles, pistols, and even a rocket launcher. What sets this Far Cry game apart is how you can approach each fight differently. Melee takedowns are also completely valid ways to engage with the enemy. You can even kick objects over or hide enemy bodies, which is a new feature not seen in other Far Cry games. Your character is also pre-equipped with a digital camera. This lets you mark items of interest, such as enemies or loot. You can bait enemies toward you or attract local wildlife to attack your enemies for you. Ride on top of an elephant like a living tank that lets you charge into the fray as an unstoppable force. Several improvements were added to "Far Cry 4" on the PlayStation 4. There is a much larger landmass to explore, better graphics, and a new grappling hook mechanic. New modes of transportation, like elephants and helicopters, provide fun and unique ways to devastate your opposition. Improved skills let you take out enemies on your terms: stealthy and quiet or loud and violent. In addition, it also features new side-quests such as the Arena, which pits you against waves of enemy soldiers, and new wildlife quests where you face off against dangerous animals, including bears and tigers. The multiplayer mode is revolutionary for the PS4. The co-op takes place entirely online and lets a second player drop in at any point in the game. Together, players can take over enemy land, hunt, or just go exploring the map. The Limited Edition includes additional in-game missions and a new weapon, the Impaler harpoon gun. If you wanted to keep playing Far Cry 3 after it ended...
Far Cry 4 is basically a slightly better continuation of Far Cry 3. Sure the theme changed, the game mechanics changed a little, and there is a new cast of characters, but if you suffered from mild amnesia you'd think you were still playing Far Cry 3: same wacky antagonist, same hunt-for-your-gear mechanics, same wide-open world for sniping bandits and jumping off mountains. Because of this, don't expect to be blown away with anything new or unusual. Instead, the game is great fun if you loved Far Cry 3 and want to keep exploring a world with the same mechanics but new goals; for this reason I greatly enjoy Far Cry 4. There are elephants to ride, ultralight helicopters to pilot (this ends the challenge of climbing up radio towers), and breath-taking scenery. If the graphics improved much from Far Cry 3, as a casual gamer I cannot tell. But there is more to do and more to see, and this Nepali-esk open world is a fascinating back-drop for gameplay. Having been to Nepal myself, I can say that this game gives me flash backs and feels very realistic in this respect; no, I was not running around with an RPG in Nepal, but the aspects of religion and culture in-game are very similar to what I experienced traveling in the villages. The town-life of tacky modern concrete homes and ugly 80s style businesses have, fortunately, been left out of the game. So if you're ready to pick up where Far Cry 3 left off, grab your cheetah skin ammo pouch, and your kukuri and head to Far Cry 4. It's worth exploring, and provides plenty of new opportunities to do the same things you loved in Far Cry 3.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This game, right from the first scene, is built around that everybody already understands how each thing works and that you can just jump in and play. Just not true, you had better be a know it all gamer or be prepared to by a ton of add ins. Feel very pissed with how game was presented and what the true reality is. To cry for!
Still one of the best shooter free world games to date, but it just don't seem to change much. Yes it's a different place and culture with differnt characters but with the same gameplay as FC3. The outposts, freeing communication towers, and so on. Dont get me wrong it's part of the Far Cry games, have to have it, but I guess I just had it in my mind it would have changed almost completely. Different ways of how the game is set up. But it's a very good game does have a difference with animals (rhinos!)- battle them and you'll have a panic attack! Lol. Crafting is a bit different some things are more automatic now which in a way takes out some fun but theres alot more good gameplay. New vehicles (hilobike!!) farcry 4
farcry 4 was the first game in the series that i've played and it was great. it had plenty of hours of playtime to satisfy picking up this title. their were two parts to the game. part 1 was long and had many challenges to overcome and i found frustrated at the level of completion needed to progress to the second part, though part two fell short in comparison it did let you chose the ending. i would recommend this game. 8 out of 10Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
