I replaced the battery due to the original being misshaped. The new one fit perfectly, did take a while to get powered on after "battery symbol" would only come on. Took a blow dryer to it for a few minutes moving back and forth in its area. After about 4 attempts at hard resetting and heating it finally came on! Holds a charge as expected. I'm still scared to let it die in case it doesn't power back on easily lol but I'm still cool with the product.

With the issues that lithium batteries are experiencing lately, like bursting into flames due to incompatibility issues, it was nice to be able to buy an actual Apple OEM battery for replacement in the wife's iPhone 6+. Replacement was a simple job, as I have been repairing I-devices for friends and family since the iPhone 3 came out. It was short work to remove the 2 pentalobe screws in each sude if the charging socket, remove the display assembly with a lever-suction tool, then pull out the two adhesive strips from beneath the original battery by pulling their removal tabs mounted to the bottom edge of the battery. Keep in mind that the replacement battery may not come with new adhesive strips, so you will need to have these in-hand before starting this work. Do not replace the battery and leave it loose in the phone as it will move around and eventually damage (tear) the ribbon cable the power connector is mounted on. After the old battery is no longer glued into the chassis, there are 2 tiny Phillips-head screws to remove from a metal plate over the battery connetor, then use a plastic 'spudger' tool to pry the connector away from the main circuit board. Simply add the new adhesive strips, snap the battety connector in place, stick the battery onto the adhesive strips, then reverse the screw disassembly steps to reassemble the phone. The new battery has been working well now, with the state of charge lasting for over 2 days, when the original battery would go flat (100% - 10%) in less than half a day.Read full review
