I like this book as an expansion of my symbols studies as many people do not recognize these such as the swastica which was used as a way to discise the cross in the second century as the anchor died out. The fish symbol was used from the second to the fourth century untill greek was no longer being used by the church. The Jewish text of the Kabala has its own symbols for the tree of life, yet many people do not know that there are three requirements before the Kabala can be studied. The males had to be married, 37 years of age, and own their own business to keep them grounded in their faith. If these were not present, then the student can be harmed and seduced into evil. Many symbols in art are never even noticed such as a picture of the Madonna and Christ where symbols of the Chi is the decoration in the cloth of the infant Jesus and an Alpha and Omega is decorating the hem of Mary's cloak. This book does help to point out these little symbols used by artist and the occult. I would recommend this book for any artist, those who study art, and THE CLERGY! I state this as the pastor did not know what NIKA(Nike) ment in the stained glass over the alter... I would rate this reference book at an 8.5 out of ten where ten is the best rating. The clergy can also use this book to identify cults that may emerg in their area.Read full review
