The best value flagship android phone on the market, if you're wise enough to find out about it!
If you're buying this phone I will assume you've done your homework. You know you're getting s20 specs at a lower price, and it delivers.
I will however caution anyone looking at this phone about the things you might not notice in reviews, and the things for which I'm knocking one star off:
- The camera software doesn't let you explicitly set the resolution of your photos, only the aspect ratio. This is a ridiculous oversight by Samsung and kind of unforgivable for me since all of my past Samsung phones have had this feature. Not even the pro mode lets you set the resolution.
- The haptics feel a bit off. It's hard to pinpoint but you can tell the vibration motor on this model in combination with the plastic back feels cheap compared to previous flagships.
- The phone screen's ratio is 20:9 which feels too tall. On a large 6.5" screen the 20:9 ratio feels awkward in my hand even with big male hands. This is one of those you can't tell in a video and have to feel for your self. Mileage may vary depending on what case you put on this beast.
Bottom Line:
Battery life is amazing, the 120hz is smooth as butter, the display should have been 1440p but you won't notice its only 1080p, the UI is packed to the gills with features and options. It's solid, feel good buying it.

Has it's Pros and Cons like every other phone on the market.
Pros: Nice phone. Large screen. Good features. Good camera. Battery life is decent. It supports wireless charging. Cons: Doesn't have headphone plug in. It closes open windows while I'm using it on occasions. Finger print scanner doesn't work with screen protector.
This phone does everything expected of a new phone. It has a great camera, long battery life and crystal clear screen. The microSD slot is great for adding more storage. The phone may not have all the features of a standard S20, but it is really close. The price point is also way better than the standard S20.
The only issue that I have is getting used to the size of the phone. The phone is a hand full, but Samsung built in features to still make it usable. The nice feature is when in landscape position the onscreen keyboard splits in half, so you can easily reach all keys when typing.
nice to have magnetometer again; bigger form factor no longer easily fits in my pockets
Nice to get new OS updates. And unlike my old J3, it has a magnetometer along with the normal accelerometer so Google Sky Map finally works again.
Bigger form factor doesn't fit in my pockets very well anymore. And it's considerably heavier than my older J3 phone. I'm going to miss being able to replace the battery on multi-day hikes.
It was a good upgrade, I dont like the camera because its worse that my s8+ but thats what i get for sticking with Android. It smooths out my face and I dont have the beauty mode on. I looked through all the settings, its just the stupid camera.
