good DIY
Good for a DIY project makes nice cuts, one little problem with the... left side fence extension dose not lineup perfectly, I took it off and it works fine. I think I can do a little modification to get it right.

Hitachi C12FDH
I use to own one of these with a partner to do crown molding ....With its laser line, making accurate cuts was a breeze . This saw has fold down back fences for those beveled cuts which most double compound have sliding fences . I would always recommend a new blade before starting any project trust me don't go cheap either you'll thank yourself later. I bought another one to have for myself after using other brands this one definitely does a better job. I just got lucky to get one barely used and with a decent stand.

Good saw, bad packaging.
I had to return the first two because the packagin...g was so flimsy the saws kept arriving damaged. The 3rd was very mildly damaged but I could live with it. Otherwise it is a very good quality saw.

Nice Options, Low Price
Once I received the saw, it was apparent it needed a... little setup. The guide and laser were out of kilter. Once I got those adjusted (they were adjustable) the saw cuts great. Cuts smooth. Relatively quiet for a saw this size. Very pleased with the machine. I you cannot afford the best $650 or more for a top of the line miter saw, consider this a close second.
