    Rode hard and hung out wet.

    Phones had almost dead battery which would not hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. Outer covering on the foam ear pieces had been removed. These phones had seen better days. I can compare because I have an identical set. I have ordered replacement batteries and ear coverings which should fix the problem. Transmitter ok. The description did not disclose the above.
