I was looking to upgrade my Core 2 Duo E6700 2.66GHz processor to one that's slightly faster, and this E7600 3.06GHz fits the bill. Since I have an older Asus motherboard with a bios that doesn't handle the E7600, I had to download the latest bios and flash it. After the bios update, the E7600 processor works like a charm and runs cool. I rarely see temperatures above 40°C with the stock Intel CPU cooler. This CPU can handle daily tasks with ease.
