I was looking for a Tecsun shortwave of the Pl-606 or PL-380 or PL-310 type. I saw this Ritmix RPR-7020 advertised as being a re-branded and discounted Tecsun PL-606. The saving was about $10, so I thought I would take a chance on it. In fact, the Ritmix is an AMAZING radio! The construction and feel of the controls is 100% Tecsun quality, and the shortwave (SW) performance is as good as my older model Tecsun R-9700DX ... and that big old Tecsun is a very good radio! The Ritmix is a very small radio, but it sounds (a bit) bigger than it is. Several advanced features like multi-adjustable bandwidth to tame weak and scratchy AM and SW stations. And the DSP chassis is really well tweaked - it stabilises the volume of weak and pulsing shortwave stations better than any shortwave radio I have ever used before. Yes, the Ritmix RPR-7020 is a great alternative to buying a Tecsun. It really is a Tecsun at a bargain price!Read full review

Works as expected, and easy to operate. So far, good radio reception. Haven't found any cons, so far. But I haven't testet much, only briefly.

The sensitivity, and selectivity of this radio are fantastic! The sound quality could be immensely improved. The lack of a direct entry numeric keypad is a annoying, but I knew this when I bought it. Overall, it's a very good radio.
