I have previously tried Sony, Kodak, Memorex, Polorid, JVC and each one did not holdup well. After 2 years and more than 100 discs I have found Verbatim to be the best quality I have found. I am also surprised that most discs that are sold are -R which is not a rewriteable disc. Whereas +RW are rewriteable, which reduces my cost by allowing me to erase and rewrite the disc. Hence, I am purchasing fewer discs.

I've used quite a few DVD+RW on my projects through the years. To date, I've never had a single disc fail to read or write on my computer drive. Verbatim certainly hasn't let me down when it comes to quality. I burn videos to DVD and if I want to later erase and put a different video on the disc, I can do that because of the re-writeable (+RW) way these discs work. I use Nero and these discs work fine with that software. Yes, these discs meet my recording needs just fine. Highly recommend :-)

I've bought different brands & generic which seem to deteriorate rather quickly after several burns....nothing like watching a movie and then having a disc go batsy on you or stop or bad disc error burning etc. Worth paying a little extra for quality & reliability !

They work better and longer than other brands. I record and erase my 2 soap operas every day and I get many more recording and erasures with Verbatim discs then with other brands that I've tried.

If you use these DVD disks, you'd better have a good DVD drive to write them. My drive wouldn't finish the tasks. That's not necessarily the disk's fault. I'm sure they are good disks if you have a good writer.
