NOTE: This is a j-bin (batch with a J at the beginning), on average they OC much better than any other Haswell-E chips. Installed easily in my EVGA X99 Classified, haven't had a single issue so far. OCs like a champ, easily does 4.5Ghz at 1.2v or so (stellar for a Haswell-E chip, on par for a j-bin). Once I get better cooling I'll push higher voltages, I got this lad to boot at 5Ghz/1.35v but got a BSOD before getting into windows (my input voltage and such may have been a bit low for that clock though). I run it on the aforementioned Classy alongside 32GB 3200Mhz DDR4 in quad-channel, cooled by a custom loop that also has my Radeon VII in it (thus the temp constraints, I don't have much rad space in my current config). Haven't had any issues with the CPU itself so far. Did get one crash the other day when I left it running F@H all day, but that was either bad settings on the GPU or iffy ones on the CPU. My fault, not a fault of the hardware itself. Performance wise it'll push 4050cb in CB20 at 4.5Ghz core/3.5Ghz ring. Bit higher as clocks scale up, basically it can compete with a well tuned 2700X and beat most not-well tuned ones. Not bad at all for a CPU from 5 years ago. Read full review

This was the best processor for my old build and finally at a reasonable price. It's a performer for sure!
