I bought one of these little gems to run and test some Linux distros. While its not a powerhouse it has run every Linux distro I've tried. I know, I know only 2gb ram and 16gb of storage. 2gb of ram has been okay. I just don't open a lot of programs and I rolled with Lubuntu Linux but MINT and other distros ran well. 16gb of storage, YIKES. I put a small USB flash drive into one of the two USB hubs. Although I could have made it my /home. Those wanting to try Linux make sure to unscrew the write protection screw at the bottom. Google Linux on Chromebook 720 Pros: Decent screen, lightweight, fast, decent battery life, SD and two USB hubs and HDMI. Cons: Not the best build quality. Careful with the AC adapter. 16gb local storage fills quick. Nothing wrong with sticking with Chrome on this device but Linux is more flexible in my view.Read full review

The battery was toast, but I had another used one now it is fine. I'm using it it now to write this. I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid, but I'm very happy with it. I'm happy I bought it.
