This is a fine medium priced controller. Once you make sure your loco wheels are really clean, this controller works flawlessly running an N Gage loco at realistic prototype-like speeds. The speed pot is a superb quality linear response pot that will take your train from a slow crawl (needed in switching scenarios) to mainline running speeds without any dead spots or stutter. I highly recommend this model train controller.
