Photo Light Sensor
I needed a better way to turn ON and OFF a night lamp other than me having to do this process twice a day. This photo sensor is just what I needed.
I installed it in a plastic project box and attached some power cords. (See photos). It was impossible to modify the lamp to install the sensor. Now every dusk to dawn, (or on not so sunny days), my night lamp turn itself ON and OFF. After installation I had only to reposition my sensor box to avoid the lamp’s light from causing the sensor to turn OFF again. And with this setup I can use the sensor on any other lamp if I choose to.
This small light sensor is very handy and I’m looking around my house for other uses. Note: The actual photo sensor inside the device of mine wasn’t exactly centered. But I was able to pry off the clear lens and carefully center the sensor without any problems.Read full review
I used t this product to control my landscape lighting. It is simple to install and so far has worked beautifully. My lights come on at dusk and go off a dawn and I don't have to think about them. Working great so far.
