This is a highly specialized oscilloscope probe meant to be used for RF work. As such they are easily damaged both mechanically by dropping or applying excessive force, and by electrical overload. This particular purchase was an example of how much can go wrong when buying a used scope probe. "Came from a working lab environment" is a non-description; it worked when it came from Tektronix too. As received it did not work at all and upon disassembly it was discovered that the irreplaceable tip resistor was not even in the probe, having been replaced by a hack piece of wire. And the hack wire was broken too! I decided to keep it for parts but as you can tell, I am not happy about it.
