This dish drainer is very similar to the "classic" Rubbermaid dish drainer. The dimensions are the same as the 17.6" x 13.8" item as sold by Rubbermaid in the 1980's and 90's. As others have noted, the wire used in construction is not as heavy-duty as the original. Also, there's one less drainer rack space at one end, due to the different location of the silverware basket. Still it is an acceptable replacement.

The name says it all. Best quality, long lasting and timeless. In a pinch I had to get a different brand... it had these handles on each end that kept the dishpan from easing into the sink. I had to wrestle and bend it. Of course I replaced it with Rubbermaid immediately. Can’t go wrong with this name product!!

It's hard to find good wire drainers anymore, but Rubbermaid makes this one which is perfect. It's made of good, sturdy material and is large enough to hold a sink full of dishes. The utensil basket can be used on the inside of the drainer (as pictured) or on the outside so you can get more dishes in the drainer itself. The coating on the wire seems to be heavy enough to last a good while. We really like this drainer.
