I did not go into this hobby blind as many do. I spent much time watching YouTube videos on this and other printers. I learned about Cura for slicing the object before sending it to the printer. I learned how cad works. I use Fusion 360 for hobbyists. I have spent time preparing to use this printer before I purchased one. Many people get into this hobby and don't have any idea what it takes to get going. It's not hard, but it's like speaking a new language. You're going to have to learn it. Once you do, and it's easy... The journey begins. Would I recommend this printer? Yes and no. It is not a plug in and print device. It has some quirks. And if you don't know the quirks, it could be a frustrating experience for you. Know that it may take some time to get working perfectly. I have already made modifications to mine. That meant tearing it apart and changing things. But now it prints flawlessly. I have a 200 dollar printer that prints flawlessly. Not a bad deal. But it took time to get it where it's at now. If you want a plug in and go printer, plan on spending a grand or more. The Select mini has a small print bed. Maybe that's fine for you. But if you are wanting to print big objects, then this isn't a good printer for you. You will end up spending more later to get into a new printer. Compact, inexpensive, but accurate. The printer prints beautifully after you set it up properly. The bed generally stays level allowing for accurate print after accurate print. Cura makes it easy to use. A fun printer with a lot of capability. The size of the build plate is the only drawback.

It's fully assembled so easy to get running. Just set height of print head with a sheet of paper. Move to home position first. Repeat this a few times to make sure. There is a problem with heated bed not working on some of these.

Love this printer. However, I purchased a second hand version that was insured to be working correctly. Unfortunately, the screen never worked when i received it. Without the screen i cannot use an SD card to print and instead rely on a USB connection.

It came with everting needed and worked great right out of the box and even managed to connect it to my wifi and it is working great!!!! The prints look super great and it came with so many extra parts i had enough to fix my other printer as well!!!!!
