Convenience is what I say. All my life I have to walk a distance from room to room to adjust the temperature thermostat. But now with just a few taps on my smart phone I can make changes to the thermostat. Advances in technology can make daily life a little easier. This thermostat has the ability to learn our habits such as what temperature you prefer to set at anytime throughout the day or night. Just read the instructions from the Nest app and it will provide you with all the information you need. Although it is costly to purchase a Nest Learning Smart Thermostat, it is one of my purchases in my lifetime that is worth buying for it’s convenience. You can find reasonable cost thermostat in the open market if you seek to buy used, open box, or refurbished thermostats but only if you do not mind second hand. A lot of times these items can still be near perfect condition. Just read very carefully in its description and condition of the item you contemplate to buy.Read full review

Nest Thermostat for your heating/cooling convenience
I love this thermostat by Nest. Its my second one and not because the other one failed. I recently sold my house and left it for the new buyer. I have never had any problems with any Nest products. I will continue to buy Nest until they make a bad product lol.

Pretty good, however.....
The # supplied for using it remotely didn't work so need to try to get it elsewhere as it has left the screen. Need to figure out why it's holding on by the bottom clip and won't work if the top clip is engaged. Without internet connection it's kind of learning but no Einstein. Easier to adjust than other thermostats I've used.

Looks great
The mirror finish gives it a deep black. Looks really modern. Has some heft to it as well. Even though you won't be lifting it or carrying it its still nice to know its quality made.
