Use this low-profile Hugger 52 in. LED brushed nickel ceiling fan for flush-mount installations when ceiling height is of concern. With a high-performance motor for powerful, yet quiet operation and 52 in.
A nice quiet fan, evidently of good quality. Slightly more difficult to install than some fans, primarily because of the ceiling-hugging design, but well worth the effort. The 3 speeds are well chosen. The dome shaped lamp has a replaceable bulb which doesn't evenly illuminate the frosted glass lens and is not terribly bright. Extra hardware was included. I can't imagine any comparable fan being any better than this one, especially factoring in the remarkable price. Because I'm extra cautious, I added 4 extra screws to the mounting bracket, so the electrical box isn't the only support for the fan. I'm very happy so far. If the fan is durable, and I have no cause to think it won't be, this product is the answer!!
Fan was easy to install but after the first installation there was a grinding noise that was too loud to ignore. I took it a part the next day, moved around some wires and then reinstalled it. I would recommend turning on the power and let the fan motor spin before installing the blades and light kit. This way you can hear if there are any noise before going any further. Overall good price but only 1 light bulb, I wish it came with 2.
many parts to assemble but it was quick and easy. No extra hardware was required. allow 30-40 minutes if experienced and replacing existing ceiling fan. Make sure the ceiling lights electrical box is sufficient for supporting a ceiling fan if replacing a light fixture.
There is a 60 cycle hum which I can't get rid of therefore. It is also quite noisy at high speed. I can not rate its quality. Product looks as good as most ceiling fans I install. I have installed many ceiling fans as I am an electrical contractor. I would not buy another.
This fan is a great value. It works great and looks expensive. This fan arrived damage and I did not see it until I was almost finished installing it and was completing the light kit. The actual bracket with the light wiring was terribly bent. It took me an hour to reshape it to its originally round shape. The large light unit that housed the glass was dented.
I managed to get it back into a reasonable shape and placed that part towards the back of the room
