These are what the guys at my local carpet track were already running so I followed suit. As far as for ozite carpet these tires hook up amazingly! Only guys putting in faster laps are on slicks but slicks are prone to damage and the difference in times is slightly marginal. I matched mine with Schumacher medium open cell inserts, have run more than enough laps and see no sign of wear what so ever. Also for the price they can't be beat! FYI. These are very firm and tight fitting, take your time mounting and glueing!
