Franklin Mint (aka Armour) makes excellent diecast models. Unlike Hobby Master, the landing gear on Franklin models is made of metal, which adds sufficient strength to support the model. With Hobby Master, you get the option to display with the gear up or down, but often the landing gear included is barely strong enough to support the models weight, and warps the plastic over time. If taken care of, I could see these models lasting a century. There is very little plastic in the construction. One problem is price gouging. On average, unless a highly famous pilot, these models should go for just under $100. Unfortunately, some people online ask for $200-$300. Whether or not the model is worth that much is up to you, but for me personally, that is to expensive. Great product if you get it at the right price for you. Read full review
