I often buy silver (over gold) it's affordable and very appealing in bullion coin form. I prefer the Canadian silver because of its fineness grade. These bullion coins are wonderful - if your first dipping your toe into the silver market or a long time collector - Canadian maple leafs are a great buy.

The Canadian Maple Leaf (whether it's gold or silver), has always been a coin I prefer to buy. Aside from the RSC products made in Bolivia, I feel that the Canadian Maple Leaf represents the high standard of quality and purity desired by most investors such as myself. Definitely one of my favorite designs and brands.

The 25th anniversary commemorative silver rounds will be more collectable than the standard bullion 1oz coins from the RCM because the commemorative timing also marks the transition into the new coin design with the 2014 model changes that have come after the mintage of the 25th commemorative coins. It appears clear that in the future, the new international standard is shifting from US to RCM in silver bullion, evidenced by the enhancements in purity(10x more than US), laser engraved security privy marks, and fine ridges on the obverse and reverse of the new 2014 coins. As the last silver bullion coins without the new 21st century security features from the RCM, these are great for collecting and investing.
Outstanding engraving and minting! Terrific eye appeal thanks to the proof-finish on raised portions that give the silver round great depth and 3D-like qualities; the unique font created for the huge "25", and how the numerals are so cleverly intertwined with the maple leaf rather than just laid on top of it. They went the extra mile on this anniversary coin and did Canada proud by creating a memorable and highly collectible masterpiece!
The coin is bright @ shiny @ best of all was released on my 60th birthday! I like the Canadian mints coins, being four 9 pure silver is always better than three. Will continue to buy coins as a hedge against an unstable currency. It's always good to buy as fine a coin as you can afford. These coins never let me down @ look forward to be able to purchase more coins in the future. I would encourage anyone that's looking to invest in silver to look at Canadian maple leafs
