Pros: It's Marklin. Cons: It's Marklin.
Marklin is a very well known German brand of trains including HO (Half O gauge) and what still many consider to be the smallest electric train ever made, the enigmatic Z gauge train. And while quality can occasionally be hit and miss with some Marklin products, the Santa Fe Caboose is not one of them. It's detail is amazing considering the size of Z gauge trains (about 2in long) and the wheels are castered! Well made and fits well with a traditional Marklin diesel setup and is quite durable, surviving a few derailings from my train set with no damage. Now for the bad news, Marklin is VERY expensive in the Z gauge scene, often American hobby stores charging quite a bit more than other scale train sets due to having to import these items and not many hobby stores care to sell the brand. So if you are looking for a mini train set on a budget, Marklin Z is too high for what you get and is often difficult to find a decent price.
