Awesome fit very easy to install can’t screw up four wires but I did. Dork. Had pos and neg to battery flip flopped I was tired. Works great hook it up to the tree out front and pulled the Jeep around. Very heavy built like a tank hope it last along time I have it mounted on a 2011 JK and wires were perfect length to the battery all hardware included three different mounting options for the solenoid I mounted it flush over the spool. Mounted it and had it running by myself in under 2 hrs what took me so long was had to remove the fog light s to get to the front two bolts that was a pain. When installing the nuts to mount it to the bumper out the nut in all the way in the holder pack a half of a paper towel in the hole to keep it pushed all the way in them out a piece of tape over the paper and hole that will hold the nut still while you push the bolt through the bottom of the bumper into the nut worked great them just pull the duck tape off and the paper will come out easy trick. Pre mount everything and do a test fit before you decide to mount it feed your wires into the engine compartment before bolting it in I ended up changing my mind after I test fitted twice. Definitely need a strong battery mines a 800 recommends minimum of 650 & or a high output alternator of more than 160. Do not over tighten the cables to the winch they are soft metal and you will break the threads on the four post comes with very clear instructions on this and everything you’ll need. Read full review

I bought this winch because of a few good reviews I read. I should have listened to the negative reviews. After mounting the winch on my custom bumper, I noticed that the plastic cover of the solenoid box was breaking apart where the remote control recepticle is located. Same as some other reviews. I am trying to glue it back together. I should have bought a Mile Marker winch! I never had problems with them. Smittybuilt is junk.

I’ve had two of these and they’re definitely worth it. Durability and quality is great. They’re also very resilient to water and I’ve used them in -20 degree weather with no issue. I mounted this one on my ‘14 Ram 1500. The only downside is that I had to add 14” of cable to the ground cable for it to reach the battery. I highly recommend this winch. Best price online for any winch this size.

It's strong, tuff and I just pulled out three small stumps and one medium size stump with it, and this winch did it with ease. Great winch, I would recommend. Oh by the way, you don't have to run the negative all the way to the battery, just to a good ground on the trunk and make sure it's a good ground; otherwise you see sparks because the winch is trying to find a better ground. Other than that, if you plan of putting the winch on the back of the truck, buy about 20-25 ft of 2 gauge power cable and quick disconnects. This winch did not come with those items.
