Acceptable ignition kit with drawbacks
Good price for almost complete ignition (timing advance mechanism is purchased separately) to replace breaker points which is fine for older, low compression engines. Beware though, when accelerating from already higher than idle RPM, the weights advance mechanism will not retard the spark timing like a system using VOES will, which can lead to pre-ignition on high compression engines. Reaches full advance too early and it stays there until RPMs are lowered to below 1000.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Makes kicking fun again
Put it on my 1975 XLCH kick start only bobber to help with starting, made a big difference in 1st or 2nd kick starts, able to gap the plugs at 040 from 025 so stronger and bigger spark is probably why it has helped. Took me a couple hours to figure it all out and install but I'm old & slow. Good upgrade for a kick start bike IMO
