I can't compare this to other systems as this is the only one i have used, but it has a random somewhat annoying buzzing sound. Pretty bad speakers for listening to music--no bass, very tinny--have to turn volume up all the way and then the high pitch is too much. Great for talking with other riders. The range is definitely line of sight--range greatly reduced when going around corners, started loosing reception pretty quickly when going around some corners and being not that far apart from other rider. The version i have has the ability to plug in ear buds--that's a nice option--probably get better sound quality for music (haven't tried it). I got a dual pack for $225--i would say if you can get it for no more than that price it is a good deal.

Been using these units for several road trips. My wife and I love them. Easy to sync to our phones and once you read the instructions and fiddle with them for a bit, easy peasy to use. The only complaint is, I use a separate MP3 player with bluetooth and have to re-sync it each time I turn it on to listen to it. I wish it would keep all units I sync it with in memory. Other than that, there have been times when I could not see my wife in the rear view mirror and was still talking to her. Wind noise on open face helmets is minimal and voice transmission is easily understood. Highly recommended...
Really enjoy the new Sena headset. It was easy to install and works very well. The instructions are a bit confusing to the uninitiated and need to be a little more user friendly. Overall I give the sena high marks.

We were blown away at first by the high quality packaging and the construction. They were easy to upgrade firmware and install and work amazingly well on our Goldwing with HJC IS-MAX2 flip face helmets. Very low wind noise. We have the voice feedback enabled which has a slight delay but the point is to know you are getting through. Still need to try the VOX intercom enable feature. We did discover that if my passenger had a paired iPhone running music and a map app with music sharing, she could hear the map instructions but I only heard music. Only one ride so far so still trying to understand all the features. Well engineered product!
