Here is a product that was developed by Apple to deliver a quicker recharge for an iPhone 11 - 13 Pro Max version using a magnetic field rather than using the lightning connector. As the device goes, it works very well, but does get quite warm if not a little hot. You have to remove any cover you might have on the phone as the connection inn made on the back of the phone between the plastic housing and the adapter. In addition, the adapter requires USB C connector. Duration of charge is roughly about the same time duration as of the lightning connector although about 30 minutes more or less time than the lightning. Overall the product does meet the requirements for delivering power in a different way for an iPhone.
this was a reorder, after giving first one I ordered to a friend. Both brick and disc were like new the first time. this time, power adapter not in factory packaging. charging disc seems to have been repackaged such that there is a kink in the cable, where it enters the magsafe disc. So, cable won't lay flat. don't dare try to bend and twist it, in an effort to make it straight, like the first one.
The charger is great, and decent price. It was hard to find a phone stand which is compatible though. I did not want to be a new case, and the magnet does not work through all cases
The magnetic charging idea is another great invention but falls short in that it only charges iPhones and I read MacBooks. The Apple watch uses a different size magnetic charger requiring users carry two different chargers if they have an iPhone and Apple Watch.
The Qi charging standard works with many phones and watches except the Apple Watch.
A great idea that is poorly executed.
That’s my only issue. It charges through the case and I love wireless charging. I have two non apple brand chargers and they seem to charge my phone faster. So hmmm.
