For a basic 4 speed record player, this is an overall good value.
The sound quality is quite good and can be adjusted for bass, tone and volume. There are two ways to set the turntable to neutral. The sapphire needle is easy to replace and is better for 78-rpm records than a diamond needle. Cosmetically, the record player is somewhat attractive for a classroom model. Because of solid state circuitry, no tubes to replace. There are 4 speeds in this player, including the odd 16 rpm. While this is a monaural record player, both stereo and mono records can be played safely. Also includes a headphone jack for private listening. For well under $100, this was a good value and will hopefully last for years to come.
