Great tool. I have looked around for several months to create a drill press for 1.2mm and smaller bits. The bits were the perfect fit for my Dremels. Yes more than one. However, I had never considered using them in a drill press. This work station changed my mind. It not only acts as a drill press but as a sanding and polishing site also. The Dremel can be turned sideways and used as a buffer or a grinder. Also this work station can fit more than one type of Dremel. If I need to take my work to a place where I don't have power I can mount my battery powered Dremel. My corded Dremel will also mount in the work station too. I recommend this work station for anyone who has a Dremel and needs stability as well as utility. The work station does not wobble or canter while the Dremel is running. For me this is especially critical when using such small drill bits. Any wobble would break the bits. For me this was a great buy.Read full review

I purchased this to drill holes into electronic circuit boards. For this, it seems to work just fine. The base, main shaft, and other areas are metal where they need to be. However, significant portions of the jig is plastic so this must be kept in mind, although any plastic parts do seem to be of high quality. For heavy duty work that requires significant downforce, you should expect some flex which could be problematic with such use. However, this is a hobby drill press jig and not designed for heavy duty work, so if one uses it outside of it's design purpose, then some deficiencies should be expected. Remember, the power unit is going to be a dremel-type tool with just a small 1/8" chuck, not a 1-HP 1/2" drill motor. As for price, I wish it were cheaper but truth be told, I couldn't build one better quality for less so in that regards, I suppose it's a decent buy, certainly worth it to be able to have this and able to put it to work right out of the box. It's sufficiently sturdy and rigid for light hobby work which is exactly what I purchased it for so I am happy. I could see a situation where one could complain about it, but if your expectations are realistic, then you should be likewise happy with it. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is that the only method of securing the power unit is via a threaded plastic collar. This limits compatible power units to those that have that plastic collar. I used it with a cordless Hitachi tool. Of course Dremel branded tools should work too, but I'm guessing that not all such tools employ a threaded collar so you should probably verify if this will be an issue for you if you plan to use this on non-dremel tools.Read full review

I bought this specifically for upright drilling so I wouldn’t break tiny drill bits drilling by hand. For that, it is awesome! I didn’t realize that it will also work for angled drilling of a repeat angle and that it will lock into place to use as a fixed sander or grinder. I am thrilled with it! One word of caution, the included non-instruction manual is close to useless. I found a great utube video that showed assembly, uses and what the parts actually were and did, something the “manual” forgot to cover. I recommend this if you need accurate, light duty, drill press or tool holder. It is, indeed, a workstation.

Have been waiting to get one of these...so excited to get it in Saturday's delivery! I am already gathering a pile of materials to machine with it...if you are a hobbyist, THIS is the one accessory tool you must get after getting your Dremel! No more skating bits, and you will get precise vertical holes! The hardware store is my next stop for hold-downs, and I'm looking at sanding drum kits again. I was a bit confused during assembly because I pulled the inner tube out of the outer tube thinking there was an extra part. Don't make this mistake, this black insert is the tightening mechanism for the upright tube that holds the Dremel for use with the flex shaft. It goes down near the base, inside the larger tube. Wasn't even looking for the on board bit storage rack, that was a nice bonus. And the fact that this accessory lets you rotate the tool to horizontal for polishing...well, I'm going to be busy for a while. Have fun!Read full review

At first I was a tad skeptical that this thing would be as good as it turned out. But the build quality is very good and it works very well as a small drill press. Pros: Small but not too small. Smooth operation. Works great as a small desktop drill press. Cons: The con is really more about the dremel itself than the press as the bits want to roam around a little when first coming onto contact with the PCBs I'm drilling. Overall I can't figure out how I got along without this thing all these years!
