In this throw-away society of ours it is nice to order an inexpensive part and fix something your self! I saved about $140 simply fixing my nail gun (Porter Cable FN250C) New gun $160 - 20.00 for this part. Took about 45 minutes to fix and get it back together. Just remember how you got the red trigger back in place. That was my only hang-up. It was simply user error on my end. I am happily popping nails once again. FYI - where these trigger assemblies seem to fail is in the 2 very small seals that fit around the aluminum piece under the red trigger. My gun was made in '09 and after 8 years of use that piece simply wore out. If you press that piece and air comes out the seals are bad. Great service! THANK YOU!! Jeff White

I have a Porter Cable DA250C that developed a leak at the trigger. It was hissing at the trigger & the trigger would not depress. I took the trigger assembly out and disassembled it with a small flat head screwdriver & a pick. Inside, there was a tiny blonde-colored O-Ring that was obviously mangled. The rest was in great shape. Obviously, you can order a new assembly for $20, or FYI a Buna-N 70 O-Ring size 1.4mm x 2.5mm from The O-Ring Store LLC is what I used to fix mine and it works great now. The model# is N1.40x002.5 which worked on mine. As reference, my calipers measured the shaft at 2.6mm and hole it slides through at 5.11mm. The 1.3mm x 2.5mm O-Ring measures 5.1mm OD but will leak, so it needs a little squeeze to work right. Also, had tried an A005 O-Ring from a harbor freight kit, which was too large(5.95mm OD). It stopped the leak, but would not slide through the cylinder preventing the driver from returning back into starting position. The one that worked for me 1.4x2.5 measures slightly oversized 5.3mm OD which works very well. Hope this helps someone on super tight budget.Read full review

Repaired my nail gun , there not that old . I believe the lack of use caused the o-ring to dry . The price of the trigger was great verses the price of the nail gun . It was easy to change out also .
