This is an awesome kit from the 90's that I gave a 2nd life. I aways soak the nibs in warm water for a few mins then let sit to get the ink out - this set didn't have dried ink in the nib which is unheard of for Shaeffer pens even when they look new. Then I used my $4 ink jet syringe from Amazon to fill these dried up ink cartriages with water and wash them out. Then I filled them with 100 year light fast dr. H Martin Inks and put washi tape over the holes so they wouldn't drain when not in use. Now the kit is archival and will be used constantly for my calligraphy as I do calligraphy daily. Excellent product, including getting the dried up cartriages that I filled!

How sad. The nibs of the set were of the same size. And the broadest size. That means that the most useful nibes sizes; F - fine, and M - Medium were gone. So, I received the leftover. How sad!
