This is my 2nd Roland FR-1X instrument. I play in a string band and bought my 1st FR-1X 7 years ago and wore it out playing in parades, concerts, and for personal gigs. I have 5 accordions, most are heavy acoustic models and hard to handle for a senior, especially in parades. The FR-1X is light weight and much more versatile with all of its sound settings. I also have a Roland BK5 backup keyboard that I midi plug the accordion into for solo gigs. The new FR1-X seems to work perfectly and programming it is a snap since I've already done so on my original instrument.

I have fourteen accordions inside this V-accordion, along with amazing orchestral sounds, organ, and a variety of bass and right-hand chord voices. It may be small and light, but I really feel that it lacks nothing. A terrific instrument that is fun to play.
