I'm new to android and a data plan with this Galaxy S Blaze. The OS is Android Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0.1 and it is nice to have an older version to get my feet wet with. The phone is very serviceable with 5 megapixel camera and decent video. As long as you stick with normal memory footprint apps this phone is stellar in its response to commands. Although nowadays the memory and processor resources will get used up fairly quickly once more demanding apps are run. A couple of issues I've noticed, the onscreen keyboard size especially in portrait mode and the dictionary continually changing my txt. These are issues I will overcome with more practice and getting used to how android and samsung work together. It's really frustrating as a beginner to have a simple txt look like it's been written in a different language after it's been sent out. :( Free google account and millions of android apps available is just nice to get with any android phone. Generally I've had a very positive experience using this phone. It has not allowed me to run some of the more feature rich apps that are now available for newer more powerful phones. With more android experience I might be able to get them to run and at the price point of this phone its performance might be sufficient, yet some of the newer phones will make the experience ( seem almost seamless ) .Read full review

This must have been the phone to have when it first came out, but it is no match for today's technology. The main flaws is the speed it consumes the battery and the gigabytes while on hotspot mode. Once the gigabytes are consumed, the whole phone stops working properly. I already ordered another phone that I know is up to the task and it only costed me a few more dollars.

i have had 2 blazes when i got the first one it seemed similar to the s2 except for the camera and size, technically the processor is suppose to be better in the blaze, the battery life sucks but it may just be counterfeit batteries that do not work up to specs. the size of the phone is a little smaller than the s2 witch in my case is preferable cause i don't want a big phone that is hard to insert in my pocket but soon after i bought my second one some of the app were not working with this phone probably because this has android 2.something and now their up to android 4.something if you root the phone i heard you can install new operating system but that is out of my league and now with the s5 and s5 active with a 4k camcorder and 16 megapixel camera and extended battery life and water proof its a tough call to wait for the price to drop and get this phone for now or fork out 350 (3.5x$ of the s blaze currently new $90)for a refurbished s5 also the screen seems weaker than the att s2 it would be nice if you can use the hotspot in the phone without extra apps but i guess tmobil would prefer to make the data that you pay for as limited as they feel and try to squeeze more money out of their"valued customers" over all a good phone for the price but getting to be outdated feb 15th 2015Read full review
This phone is very good, both in feature and price. It kinda mini Galaxy S2. Samsung did a good job on Touchwiz 4.0, easy to use and they have the beautiful widgets. The battery life is very good on this phone compare to my last phone the Galaxy S 4G. The only thing I don't like is its round shape, I prefer the rectangle angel of the Galaxy S2 International version than this. Overall this phone is very good with cheap price
The galaxy blaze s is a good all around smartphone with front/rear camera that does what a smartphone should do. My only complaint is that the bundled software needs so many updates it'll fill up the system memory and slow it down, so rooting it is needed to remove hardcoded apps unless one just ignores all the updates.
